6 roads closed due to flooding in South Central PA


District 8 reports six roads closed due to high water in south central Pennsylvania.

Since 4:00 a.m., PennDOT has assisted in reopening seven roads previously closed due to flooding; PA 295 and Big Mount Road in York County, Whiskey Run Road and Mountain Road in Cumberland County, and PA 241, Monroe Valley Road and Heilmandale Road in Lebanon County.

Canal Road in Dauphin County and Landvale Street/Wago Road in York County have since been closed.

Adams County – (no closures due to flooding)

Cumberland County – (no closures due to flooding)

Dauphin County – (1 closure due to flooding)
• Canal Road closed Thursday at 8:30 a.m. due to high water between Sand Beach Road in South Hanover Township and Laudermilch Road in East Hanover Township – estimated to reopen 12:30 p.m.,

Franklin County – (no closures due to flooding)

Lancaster County – (no closures due to flooding)

Lebanon County – (2 closures)
• Bindnagles Road closed Wednesday at 7:20 a.m. due to high water at the intersection of Gravel Hill Road in North Londonderry Township – estimated to reopen at 1:00 p.m.,
• Blacks Bridge Road closed Wednesday at 7:20 a.m. due to high water at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road in East Hanover Township – estimated to reopen at 1:00 p.m.,

Perry County – (1 closure)
• PA 849/Newport Road (Duncannon Subway) closed Wednesday at 3:15 a.m. due to high water between Noye Road and Market Street in Penn Township – estimated to reopen Sunday, March 9 at 12:00 p.m.,

York County – (2 closures)
• Conewago Creek Road closed Wednesday at 6:30 a.m. due to high water between PA 181/York Haven Road and Griffith Lane in East Manchester Township – estimated to reopen at 4:00 p.m.,
• Landvale Street/Wago Road closed Thursday at 9:25 a.m. due to high water along the Susquehanna River between Front Street in York Haven Borough and Gut Road in East Manchester Township – estimated to reopen March 7 at 6:00 a.m.
