Roadway Milling and Paving Work Starts Wednesday on Route 192 in Centre County
State College – On behalf of Governor Tom Corbett, PennDOT today announced that roadway milling and paving work will get underway Wednesday, May 15 in Centre County on Route 192. When work completes late this fall, PennDOT will have improved the roadway surface of ten routes in Centre and Clinton counties and provided area drivers with smoother, safer travel.
Crews will be working to mill and pave on Route 192 between Brush Mountain Road and Millheim Narrows Road. Drivers should be alert for flaggers in the roadway, as an alternating traffic pattern is enforced during daylight hours. Motorists need to remain alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the construction area and drivers should expect short travel delays. Work on Route 192 is expected to last through the end of next week.
This work is part of a $4.3 million contract to improve ten state routes in Centre and Clinton counties. All work is weather and schedule dependent. PennDOT will issues updates on this project as work locations change. New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc. is the contractor on this project.
