Route 3004 McLaughlin Run Road Bridge Replacement Begins March 30 in Bridgeville

Pittsburgh, PA

PennDOT District 11 is announcing an $800,000 project to replace the bridge that carries Route 3004 (McLaughlin Run Road) over McLaughlin Run in Bridgeville Borough, Allegheny County, will begin on Wednesday, March 30.

The project includes removing and replacing the existing bridge with a new structure and minor approach work. The Marricco Construction Company of McMurray, PA is the prime contractor.

To allow the necessary work to occur, McLaughlin Run Road will be closed to thru-traffic between Maple Street and Ridge Road beginning at 9 a.m. on March 30 continuously through late September 2011. About 6,893 vehicles use Route 3004 in this area on an average day. Signs will be posted to guide motorists.

Posted detour:
From north
• Take Bower Hill Road east to Painters Run Road
• Turn right and follow Painters Run Road east to McMillen Road (Route 3034)
• Turn right onto McMillen Road and follow south back to McLaughlin Run Road
From south
• Same detour in opposite direction
