Exercise caution
Armstrong County, PA (August 16) – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is announcing expected delays and one-lane closures at two sites in the Armstrong County beginning Thursday, August 17, 2006.
Route 66 between Alternate Route 66 and Spruce Hollow Road in Bethel Township will be restricted to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, September 1, 2006, weather permitting. The restriction will allow crews to install drains and mill the decks and approaches to two bridges and then repave the area.
Route 1025 (Putneyville Road) between Belknap Road and Seminole Road in Wayne and Mahoning townships will be restricted to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. while crews repave the road. The work is expected to be finished Saturday, August 26, 2006, weather permitting.
Flag crews will be present at both sites to direct traffic. Motorists are asked to use caution, stay alert and be patient when traveling through work zones.
The work is part of a $2.5 million county-wide surface improvement program to enhance safety and mobility. The contractor is Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College, PA.
