PENNDOT REGION IV KICKS-OFF HIGHWAY SAFETY EVENT OCTOBER 26
Halloween DUI Safety Top Priority
Who: PennDOT Region IV Highway Safety Team in partnership with Memorial Medical Center. The Region IV Safety Team is made up of members of PennDOT Engineering Districts 9 and 10, PA State Police, PA DUI Association, Cambria Allegheny Regional Highway Safety Network, Butler County District Attorney’s Office, Traffic Injury Prevention Project, Indiana Regional Highway Safety Project and Buckle Up PA.
What: Halloween Safety Media Event to kick off an 11 County DUI Enforcement Initiative in the counties of Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Indiana, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Somerset, Bedford, and Fulton.
When: 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2006.

The Highway Safety Event will be conducted at Emergency Room Conference Room, Emergency Medicine Department located on the Main Campus
Why: Last year in Pennsylvania during the Halloween Holiday weekend, alcohol related crashes claimed the lives of 13 people. Halloween is the second most deadly holiday, next to Labor Day that claimed 15 lives in 2005.
