|Ford City - PennDOT Engineering District 10, in partnership with Lenape Tech, ARIN Intermediate Unit 28, the Indiana and Armstrong Drug and Alcohol Commission, State and Local Police and the Indiana Regional Highway Safety Center, is hosting a Teen Driver Safety Challenge/ Mock Crash in an effort to reduce the number of teen-related crashes. |
Teen drivers will be given the unique opportunity to rotate through nine driver safety educational stations: Driver Distractions; Crash Reconstruction; Car Fit; Large Truck No- Zones; Remote Control Challenge; Pre-Driver Check; DUI Checkpoints; Fake identification and Seat belt Safety. The Driver Distractions station will provide teen drivers the opportunity to safely attempt to drive while texting through the use of driver simulation. The SADD organization will also hold a mock car crash in which students will witness the consequences of unsafe behavior while driving.
