Route 217 and Newport Road reopened to traffic
Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 is pleased to announce that the State Route (SR) 217/SR 3009 (Newport Road) intersection in Burrell Township, Indiana County, has been reopened to traffic.
The remaining work will be conducted under flagging operations. Motorists are still asked to slow down and exercise caution when traveling through work zones.
This is a $352,159 project with work being performed by Quaker Sales Corporation. The project is designed to improve safety by increasing the sight distance at the intersection.
