PENNDOT ANNOUNCES ROUTE 1006 FAIRVIEW-PETROLIA ROAD CLOSURE BEGINNING JULY 12

Closure Necessary for Highway Bridge Replacement

Butler County, PA (June 23) – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is announcing the temporary closure of Route 1006 (Fairview-Petrolia Road) in Fairview Township, Butler County, beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, and ending at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2006.

The temporary closure will allow PennDOT's Butler County Department Bridge Crew to replace the existing bridge located between Bass Wood Road and School Street on Route 1006 (Fairview-Petrolia Road) with a pre-cast concrete box culvert bridge.

Traffic will be detoured using Route 1006 (Fairview-Petrolia Road) to Route 1004 (Bruin Road) to Route 268, back to Route 1006 (Fairview-Petrolia Road). Detour signs and message boards will be posted to mark the detour route.
