LANE CLOSURE NECESSARY TO ACCESS BRIDGE REPAIR NEEDS
Indiana County, PA (January 24) – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that traffic on Route 1041 (Richmond Road) at the Rochester Mills bridge over the Little Mahoning Creek in Grant and Canoe Townships, Indiana County will be shifted to the west side of the structure. Two travel lanes will be maintained during the restrictions. The lane restrictions will take place immediately and will continue until repairs to the bridge can be completed.
The decision to restrict traffic on the bridge was made as a precautionary measure by PennDOT Engineers earlier today as they discovered deterioration to a concrete fascia beam. Signs will also be posted beneath the bridge to alert pedestrian and boaters of the restrictions.
Motorists are asked to use caution, stay alert and be patient when traveling in the area.
