Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 announces that construction bids were recently opened for the 2008 Clarion and Jefferson Counties Bridge Preventative Maintenance Project.
The apparent low bidder for the project was Gregori Construction and Engineering Inc. of Sarver with a bid of $793,555. Eight bids were received for the project, which includes scour repair and protection at 10 bridges in Clarion County and 19 bridges in Jefferson County. Scour repair and protection includes streambed paving and the placement of rock at bridge piers and abutments to prevent erosion around the foundations.
The bids, opened in Harrisburg, will be reviewed to ensure all necessary specifications are met, and then the contract itself will be awarded to the low bidder who adequately meets those specifications.
