PENNDOT ANNOUNCES 24-HOUR LANE REDUCTIONS AT HILLSDALE SITE

Exercise caution

Indiana County, PA (September 22) - PennDOT Engineering District 10 is announcing the continuation of 24-hour flagging at its Hillsdale 3R (reconstruction, rehabilitation and resurfacing) project along Route 286 in Montgomery Township, Indiana County.

Traffic will be reduced to alternating, single-lane use 24 hours a day from Monday, September 25 through Wednesday, September 27, 2006, weather permitting. Lane restrictions will also be in effect during the day Saturday, September 23.
Floodlights and flares will be used at night to highlight flag crews directing traffic.

Motorists should expect possible delays and remember that work zone safety is everyone's responsibility.

The $3.6 million Hillsdale 3R project will resurface and widen 2.25 miles of Route 286 from Rowley Cemetery Road to the town of Arcadia in Montgomery Township.

The main contractor for the project is Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College, PA.
