PENNDOT ANNOUNCES OPENING OF BIDS FOR INDIANA COUNTY SURFACE IMPROVEMENTS
Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 is pleased to announce that construction bids for a contract for surface improvements at various sites in Indiana County were recently opened.
The apparent low bidder for the Indiana County Surface Improvement B contract is Quaker Sales Corporation of Johnstown with a bid of $1,090,064.30. Three bids were received for the project that includes paving improvements on the following:
• Route 56 from the Buena Vista Bridge in Brush Valley Township to Route 22 in East Wheatfield Township.
• 0.35 miles of Route 954 (9th Street) in Indiana Borough.
The bids, opened in Harrisburg, will be reviewed to ensure all necessary specifications are met, and then the contract itself will be awarded to the low bidder who adequately meets those specifications.
