Motorists should expect delays
Indiana County (June 27) – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that construction is expected to begin Wednesday, July 5, 2006 (weather permitting) on the Route 286 Hillsdale North 3R (reconstruction, rehabilitation and resurfacing) project in Montgomery Township, Indiana County.
The project will resurface and widen 2.25 miles of Route 286 from Rowley Cemetery Road to the town of Arcadia in Montgomery Township. In addition to resurfacing and widening, new guide rail, drainage and a small bridge will be replaced.
The main contractor for the $3,597,286 highway improvement project is Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College, PA. The project is expected to be completed in October 2006.
Motorists should expect possible delays, lane restrictions, and changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area. PennDOT asks that motorists use caution and remember that work zone safety is everyone's responsibility.
