Includes more than $1 million in improvements
Butler County, PA (April 20)– PennDOT Engineering District 10 is pleased to announce that construction bids for the Township Route 831 Glenwood Way Bridge replacement project in Center Township, Butler County, were opened April 13, 2006 in Harrisburg.
Seven bids were received for the project that will replace the existing bridge over the Connoquenessing Creek with a one-span composite, prestressed concrete, spread box beam bridge.
The apparent low bidder for the project is Mingo Creek Construction Company of Eighty Four, PA, with a bid amount of $1,062,924.05
The bids, opened in Harrisburg, will be reviewed to ensure all necessary specifications are met; and then the contract itself will be awarded to the low bidder who adequately meets those specifications.
Construction is expected to begin, weather permitting, six-to-eight weeks after the bid opening. The project is expected to take one year to construct and will require a detour.
