Traffic patterns change on SR 119 Big Run Arch Bridge Replacement project in Jefferson County
Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that traffic patterns changed on the State Route (SR) 119 Big Run Arch Bridge Replacement project in Jefferson County on Monday, August 16, 2010.
Traffic was transferred onto the newly constructed temporary roadway adjacent to the bridge at the end of the day on August 16. The temporary roadway will be in effect until the Big Run Arch is replaced with a new structure. The replacement of the existing structure with a single-span composite steel I-beam bridge is expected to be completed in mid-June 2011.
Motorists are asked to slow down and exercise caution when traveling through work zones. As the need applies, flag crews will direct traffic while work is being performed.
This is a $1.91million project with work being completed by Russell Standard Corporation of Bridgeville, Allegheny County.
