LOCAL AND STATE POLICE TO JOIN FOUR STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA IN FIRST EVER BORDER-TO-BORDER SEAT BELT ENFORCEMENT

Indiana, PA - Police officers from three departments in Indiana County and the State Police will participate in the first border-to-border seat belt enforcement wave. They will join police from across Pennsylvania and its neighboring states in continuous 18-hour enforcement blitz.

As part of the Click It or Ticket mobilization, police will set up seatbelt check points at three local high schools to monitor seatbelt usage of young drivers. After the check point police will take to the highways to begin their enforcement wave. Any unbelted driver pulled over for a traffic violation will be issued a second ticket and second fine for not buckling up.
