PENNDOT ANNOUNCES BUFFALO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT BEGINS MONDAY

Motorists Should Expect Delays

Indiana, PA (February 25) - PennDOT Engineering District 10 is pleased to announce that construction activities will begin on Monday, February 28, 2005, for the Route 356 and Route 2018 Buffalo Elementary School Intersection Improvement Project located in Sarver, Buffalo Township, Butler County.
PennDOT's prime contractor for the $677,800 project, Norwin Construction Company of Irwin PA, will begin to realign Route 356 and Route 2018 by performing earth moving and drainage activities. The project will include lane widening to increase visibility and the installation of a traffic signal.

As construction activities begin, motorists are advised to use caution, expect changing traffic patterns, lane restrictions and possible delays and to SLOW DOWN when traveling through the area. Motorists are also reminded to turn on their headlights when traveling through highway construction areas and that fines and citations are doubled in work zones. Work zone safety is everyone's responsibility.
The project is expected to be completed by July 25, 2005.
