PENNDOT ANNOUNCES START OF MILLING ON INTERSTATE 80

Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 advises motorists that milling operations will begin Monday, April 23, 2007, on Interstate 80 in Clarion County.

The work is part of a $6.3 million project that includes concrete patching and paving of Interstate 80 between the Route 66 interchange in Paint Township and the Jefferson County line.

Motorists are advised that milling operations in preparation for paving will temporarily create a rough surface.

Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction to accommodate work on the project, which will be performed on a 24-hour basis through Friday, May 25. Effective Wednesday, May 2, a 14-foot width restriction will be in effect between Exit 53 (Knox) and Exit 73 (Corsica).

After Memorial Day, work will be performed between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. only. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of July.
Motorists are asked to slow down and drive cautiously through work zones.
