Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that work is planned to begin on the Climax Bridge Project, located on the border of Armstrong and Clarion Counties, on T-970 (Climax Road). The bridge is scheduled for replacement beginning on Monday, August 3, 2009, with an anticipated completion date of June, 2010. PennDOT awarded Francis J. Palo, Inc., of Clarion, Clarion County, a $1.92 million contract for this project. The bridge will be closed to facilitate construction and motorists should use the following detour: T-970 (Armstrong County - Climax Road) to State Route (SR) 1004 (Armstrong County - Madison Road) to SR 1005 (Armstrong County - St. Charles Road) to Twp. Road (Clarion County - St. Charles Road) to SR 861 (Clarion County) back to SR 2013 (Clarion County - Climax Road).
