Freedom Road Improvement Project begins next week in Cranberry Township Butler County
Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that the State Route (SR) 3020 Freedom Road improvement project will begin next week in Cranberry Township, Butler County.
Beginning, July 11 at 8 pm, initial widening work will be performed each evening between 8 pm and 6 am on SR 3020 (Freedom Road) from Haines School Road to Haldeman Drive. Traffic during the night work will be alternating single-lanes controlled by flaggers. Traffic will then be shifted to the widened areas to allow for the remaining widening and median construction. This work will be performed between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm providing one lane each direction. All work is weather permitting.
This $1,527,000 improvement project has been awarded to The Lane Construction Corporation of Bridgeville, Allegheny County. Work includes widening SR 3020 from two to three lanes and the installation of new traffic signals and left turn lanes. New traffic signals will be installed at the intersections of Thorn Hill Road and Haldeman Drive. Resurfacing and new pavement markings will also be installed.
