WORK TO START ON INDIANA COUNTY SURFACE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 announces that crews will begin joint patching and drainage upgrades along 5.4 miles of Route 110 beginning Tuesday, May 1, 2007.

The work, part of a $1.8 million contract to improve road surfaces at multiple locations throughout Indiana County, will be performed between the Route 954 and Route 119 intersections in Washington, Rayne and White townships and Creekside and Ernest boroughs. Once joint repair and drainage upgrades are complete, the road will be repaved.

Minor delays are anticipated. Traffic will be reduced to single lane, alternating use. Flag crews will direct traffic.

Motorists are asked to use caution, stay alert and be patient when traveling through work zones.
Contractor for the project is Quaker Sales Corporation of Johnstown.
