PENNDOT ANNOUNCES OPENING OF BIDS FOR BUTLER COUNTY SURFACE IMPROVEMENTS
Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 is pleased to announce that construction bids for a contract for surface improvements at various sites in Butler County were recently opened.
The apparent low bidder for the Butler County Surface Improvement B contract is IA Construction Corporation of Zelienople with a bid of $1,802,231.90. Two bids were received for the project that includes paving improvements on the following:
• 0.9 miles of Route 3001 in Butler City.
• 1.4 miles of Route 8 in Middlesex Township. Short stretches of Route 8 will also be paved in Penn and Butler townships.
The bids, opened in Harrisburg, will be reviewed to ensure all necessary specifications are met, and then the contract itself will be awarded to the low bidder who adequately meets those specifications.
