Cowan Station Bridge open to traffic in Armstrong County
Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that the temporary traffic signal was removed and the new State Route (SR) 268 Cowan Station Bridge opened to traffic on Wednesday, October 20, 2010. The bridge over the Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County has been replaced. The structure is located between SR 4006 (Reesedale Road) and Fahlor Road in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County.
The temporary traffic signal was removed and the new bridge opened to traffic at the end of the day on Wednesday, October 20, 2010.
SR 4006 (Reesedale Road) remains closed near the intersection with SR 268. The detour is in effect until the end of November, 2010. Motorists are asked to follow SR 4006 (Reesedale Road) to SR 4023 (Tarrtown Road) to SR 1038 (Butler Road) back to SR 268.
This is a $2.18 million project with work being completed by Mekis Construction Corp., of Fenelton, Butler County.
