Lane Restrictions Rescheduled for SR 286

Lane Restrictions on SR 286 for Bridge Project Rescheduled in Indiana County

Indiana – The lane restrictions planned for State Route (SR) 286 have been rescheduled for Friday, April 27. This is part of the bridge replacement project for the bridge carrying SR 286 over Blacklegs Creek in Indiana County.

Beginning, Friday, April 27, at 9 am, restrictions will be in place while the temporary signal is installed. Motorists can expect congestion and delays in the project area. A width restriction of 12 feet will be in place for the duration of the project.

The new bridge will be built under phased construction, maintaining one lane of traffic using a temporary signal and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded to drive responsibly in work zones. Remember to be alert to changing conditions, minimize distractions, and slow down in work zones.

This $1.9 million bridge replacement project is being completed by Charles J. Merlo, Inc. and is expected to be completed by the end of May.
