Traffic Stoppages Rescheduled on SR 356 Freeport Bridge Project



Traffic Stoppages Rescheduled on State Route 356 Freeport Bridge Project in Armstrong, Butler, and Westmoreland Counties

Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that periodic traffic stoppages are being rescheduled on State Route (SR) 356 as part of the SR 356 Freeport Bridge and ramp project in Armstrong, Butler, and Westmoreland Counties.

Traffic will be stopped on SR 356 in both directions periodically for 15-minute durations on Monday, August, 1 between 9 am and 3 pm. The bearings will be jacked up on the northern end of the SR 356 bridge over the Allegheny River for bearing replacement work. The stoppages were scheduled to occur on Thursday, July 28.

Motorists should be aware of changing conditions and be prepared to follow the directions of the flaggers. Congestion and delays are possible during traffic stoppages.
