PENNDOT ANNOUNCES TRANSITION SMOOTHING WORK ON I-80



Lane reductions expected

Clarion County, PA (August 28) – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is pleased to announce that work will begin Monday, September 11, 2006, weather permitting, on an Interstate 80 smoothing project in Richland Township, Clarion County.

The $581,000 project, which will include milling and paving, will smooth the transitions between bituminous and concrete surfaces at five sites along the interstate.

Traffic will be reduced to single-lane use in each direction through the work zone. Motorists are asked to use caution, stay alert and be patient when traveling through work zones.

The contractor for the project is Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College. Work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, September 29, 2006.
