Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 announces that construction bids for the Leeper 3R construction project were recently opened.
The apparent low bidder for the project is I.A. construction Corp. of Zelienople with a bid amount of $1,810,777.66. Two bids were received for the project, which will resurface, restore and rehabilitate (3R) three miles of Route 66 roughly from Wolbert Road (T-562) in Farmington Township, Clarion County, to one mile north of the Route 66 and Route 36 intersection. The project will widen road lanes and shoulders and improve drainage and guide rail. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2007.
The bids, opened in Harrisburg, will be reviewed to ensure all necessary specifications are met, and then the contract itself will be awarded to the low bidder who adequately meets those specifications.
