State Route 119 Closed for Railroad Crossing Work in Punxsutawney Borough in Jefferson County
Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that State Route (SR) 119, Ridge Avenue, will be closed in both directions at the SR 119 Railroad Crossing in Punxsutawney Borough in Jefferson County.
The road closure is located between State Route 310, and State Route 2017 (Orchard Avenue), and will be in place from Friday, November 12, 2010, at 6:00 pm, through Monday, November 15, 2010, at 12:00 pm. The closure will be in place for the entire duration.
A detour will be in place using SR 36 to SR 2009 (Riker’s Road) to SR 119.
The Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad, Inc., will be replacing the existing rubber crossing surface with a full depth concrete surface. All work will be performed by their contract work force.
