Armstrong County (May 25) – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that the current local detour will be changed beginning Monday, June 5, 2006 and will end on Thursday, June 22, 2006, (weather permitting) on the Route 268 Lemmon Hollow Road Intersection improvement project in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County.

The access to residents has been maintained by a posted local detour. The new local detour will be changed to:

The project requires the closure of Route 268 between Route 4010 (Old Butler Road) and Route 4006 (Walk Chalk Road). The official truck detour of approximately 50 miles will remain in place.
The official posted heavy truck detour is:
- Route 268 to Route 422 to Route 68 back to Route 268 at Kepple Corners
PennDOT asks that motorists use caution and patience and remember that work zone safety is everyone's responsibility.

The overall project will improve sight distance along Route 268 at the intersection of Lemmon Hollow Road and Cedar Drive. The project will also add new left-turn lanes at the intersection. The project is expected to be completed in August 2006.
