"Motorists will experience delays"
East Brady, PA (June 21) – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists to expect delays on Route 68 near Kittanning Hollow Road, beginning at 6 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2006, and ending on Friday afternoon, June 23, 2006, as the last bridge beams are delivered to the East Brady Bridge replacement project construction site in Clarion and Armstrong Counties.
Construction crews will be placing a temporary bridge on one lane of Route 68 near Kittanning Hollow Road to facilitate the delivery of several beams used to construct the new bridge. The temporary bridge is being used to protect the existing bridge from damage from superload deliveries. This is the last time the temporary bridge will be used.
Flaggers will be present to direct traffic on Route 68 until the removal of the temporary bridge on Friday afternoon. Traffic will be restricted to alternating, one-way traffic during the delivery of the new beams. There will also be a 10-foot lane restriction implemented during the temporary bridge placement. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect possible delays when traveling through the area. ##
