Indiana - PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that construction work on the State Route (SR) 217 Flenniken Bridge rehabilitation project is planned to begin on Monday, February 22, 2010. The bridge is over Blacklick Creek and is located near SR 3006 (Williams Road) in both Blacklick and Burrell Townships, Indiana County. The project includes replacement of the concrete bridge deck, abutment repairs, and rehabilitation of the four-span, continuous-riveted, steel built-up girders. The anticipated project completion date is mid-September, 2010.
During the time of this construction, a detour will be in place. Motorists are asked to follow SR 22 to SR 119 to SR 422 to SR 286.
This is a $1.8 million project with work being completed by Delta Contractors of Clarion, Clarion County.
