Closure Necessary for Highway Bridge Rehabilitation
Jefferson County, PA (June 30) – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that traffic will be detoured on the Route 436 Margiotti Bridge over Mahoning Creek in Punxsutawney Borough, Jefferson County, beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2006, and ending at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2006.
The $427,798 project will rehabilitate the bridge's entire structure by providing a new bituminous overlay, waterproofing, painting and retrofits of expansion dams. Francis J. Palo Inc. of Clarion is the prime contractor for the project.
Traffic will be detoured using Route 36 to Route 119 back to Route 436. Detour signs and message boards will be posted to mark the detour route. The total length of the detour is 4.8 miles.
