Rest Areas remain closed on I-80 over Memorial Weekend
Rest Areas remain closed on Interstate 80 over Memorial Weekend in Jefferson County Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that two rest areas will remain closed on Interstate 80 in Jefferson County over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. The rest areas are located on I-80 East at mile marker 87 and on I-80 West at mile marker 88, between Exit 86 (Reynoldsville) and Exit 90 (SR 830 DuBois Airport). The rest areas closed on April 18 and will remain closed over the Memorial Day weekend. Due to the wet weather, the maintenance work has been delayed and will not be completed by May 27 as planned. This $73,920 project was awarded to Francis J. Palo, Inc. of Clarion and includes preventative maintenance on the water storage tanks. Facilities are available at various locations at Exits 78 (SR 36 Brookville) and 97 (SR 219 DuBois/Brockway).
