Indiana - PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that preliminary construction work on the State Route (SR) 422 Kimmel School Bridge project is planned to begin on Thursday, February 11, 2010. The bridge is over Plum Creek and is located near Kimmel School Road in Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County.
During the time of this construction, traffic may be stopped in order to allow crews to complete activities near the roadway. Motorists are advised to anticipate traffic delays and be prepared to stop. Motorists are asked to slow down and exercise caution when traveling through work zones. As the need applies, flag crews will direct traffic while work is being performed.
This is a $1.8 million project to provide replacement of the bridge superstructure with work being completed by Plum Contracting, Inc .of Greensburg. The project is scheduled to be completed in October 2010.
