LOCAL OFFICIALS GATHER TO OPEN MAIN STREET VIADUCT

Butler, PA - PennDOT District 10 Executive Joseph P. Dubovi III, P.E., will join other state and local officials at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, to cut a ceremonial ribbon officially opening the new Main Street Viaduct in Butler.

This $23 million project included the construction of an eight-span steel and concrete bridge over the Connoquenessing Creek and the Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad in the City of Butler. Ornamental lighting, a vintage pedestrian railing and walkway and 56 new public parking spaces were also included in the project. Like its predecessor, the new bridge will be named for General Richard Butler, who fought alongside George Washington in the Revolutionary War.
