Indiana, Pa. – PennDOT Engineering District 10, in support of the Armstrong County Commissioner’s office and local municipalities, will conduct a ceremonial opening event marking the near completion of the State Route (SR) 268 West Kittanning Congestion project and SR 1038 Bridge Replacement project in the West Kittanning area, Armstrong County.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at 3:30 pm at the Train Station located at the intersection of SR 1038 (Butler Road) and SR 4023 (Tarrtown Road).
Individuals planning to attend should approach the site from the Kittanning side of the Allegheny River. The event will mark the ceremonial opening of the roadway; however, the official opening date will be between Thursday, October 23, 2008 and Friday, October 31, 2008 depending on the weather.
