RAILROAD CROSSING UPGRADE AND ROAD CLOSING PLANNED FOR STATE ROUTE 56 NEAR SHELOCTA IN INDIANA COUNTY



Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that State Route (SR) 56 near Shelocta in Armstrong Township of Indiana County will be closed for two days. Reliant Energy has coordinated to make railroad crossing upgrades beginning on Monday, June 29, 2009, at 7:00 am, with plans to be finished the afternoon of Tuesday, June 30, 2009. As a result of the construction project, a detour will be in place. Motorists are asked to follow SR 56 (Indiana and Armstrong Counties) to SR 210 (Armstrong County) to SR 422 (Armstrong and Indiana Counties).

Motorists are asked to slow down and exercise caution when traveling through work zones.
