Closure of intersections with Little Creek Road at Metcalf Road and Ziegler Road scheduled for next week in Butler County
Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that the intersections of Metcalf Road and Little Creek Road as well as Ziegler Road and Little Creek Road will close permanently on Monday, October 4, 2010. This closure is part of the Interstate 79 Seneca Ramps project in Portersville and Jackson Townships, Butler County.
Beginning, Monday, October 4, 2010, Metcalf Road and Ziegler Road intersections with Little Creek Road will close. Metcalf Road and Ziegler Road will be tied into Gregg Drive. All traffic will use Gregg Drive and Gregg Drive Extension. Message signs are in place alerting motorists to this permanent change.
The Seneca Valley I-79/SR 3025 Missing Ramps project is located on I-79 between Mile Markers 87 and 89 and on SR 3025 (Little Creek Road) between SR 19 (Perry Highway) and SR 3027 (Seneca School Road). This project will upgrade two existing ramps and add two additional ramps providing greater access to I-79. In addition, a noise barrier will be installed. The $18 million project was awarded to Golden Triangle Construction of Imperial, Allegheny County.
Motorists are reminded to be aware of changing conditions and to slow down and minimize distractions in the work zone. Congestion and delays are possible in the project area.
