DUI TASK FORCE ON PATROL THIS THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY WEEKEND
Warning goes out to motorists to think before they drink
INDIANA, (November 21) - In a continuous effort to reduce alcohol-related crashes and deaths, PennDOT Engineering District 10, the Indiana County DUI Task Force, the State Police and the Pennsylvania Liquor Enforcement Agency have joined forces to promote a unified TEAM DUI enforcement effort in Indiana, Armstrong, Butler and Jefferson Counties this weekend.
The enforcement effort will include roving DUI patrols and undercover cops in shops and bars.
PennDOT reminds motorists if you are planning to include alcohol in your events:
• Preplan for safe transportation to get you and your friends home.
• Designate a driver.
• Call a friend or a parent.
• Take a bus or taxi.
• Never drink and drive.
• Never get in a car with someone who has been drinking.
• Always wear your seatbelt.
Last year, 579 Pennsylvania motorists lost their lives in alcohol-related crashes.
PennDOT urges motorists to be responsible, safety minded and to always buckle up every time you drive. |
