Indiana, Pa. – PennDOT Engineering District 10 advises motorists that the eastbound Route 22 on and off ramps at the Route 56 interchange in East Wheatfield Township, Indiana County, will be closed for three weeks beginning Monday, June 9. The ramps will be closed for patching, concrete replacement and paving. A detour utilizing Route 403 and Route 2024 (Philadelphia Street) has been posted.
Motorists are also advised that milling and patching will begin Monday, June 9 on Route 22 between the Route 56 and Route 403 interchanges. Paving will follow. Route 22 will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
Motorists are asked to remain alert for changing traffic patterns and exercise caution while traveling through work zones. Work is scheduled to be complete July 3.
The work is part of the $1.8 million Indiana County Surface Improvement A Project, which will also make improvements to 2.5 miles of Route 403 north of the Cambria County line in East Wheatfield Township and at the Route 259/Route 56 intersection in West Wheatfield Township. |
