Weekend Closure on Interstate 79 Northbound in Butler County
Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that closures will occur this weekend on Interstate 79 Northbound for overhead sign installation and centerline joint repairs.
The Northbound closures will occur between Saturday, October 22 at 11 pm, and Sunday, October 23 at 5 am.
The schedule below outlines the closures on I-79 in Butler County:
I-79 Northbound will close at Exit 83 (Evans City, SR 528). The detour is as follows:
o Exit I-79 North at Exit 83 (Evans City, SR 528)
o Make a left onto State Route (SR) 528. Follow SR 528 West to SR 19
o Make a right onto SR 19. Follow SR 19 North to SR 488
o Make a right onto SR 488. Follow SR 488 East to I-79 Northbound on-ramp at Exit 96 (Portersville/Prospect, SR 488)
o Make a left onto I-79 North
