Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that, as the result of a recently completed engineering traffic study, the stop sign located on the westbound lane of State Route (SR) 3017 (Cherry Run Road) at the intersection of SR 3017 (Cherry Hill Road) and SR 3033 (Coal Road) in Center Township, Indiana County, will be removed on Friday, May 15, 2009.
To assist motorists and alert them of the removed stop sign, flashing lights and signs will be placed on the intersecting roads alerting motorist that the "stop sign is removed from side street." After a period of six weeks, the warning lights will be removed.
Motorists are asked to drive with extra caution through the area while motorists adjust to the removed stop sign. |
