Indiana, Pa. - PennDOT Engineering District 10 advises motorists that milling and paving will take place the week of August 4 at the following locations in Indiana County:
• Route 4032 (Philadelphia Street) - 1.2 miles in Indiana Borough between Route 4422 (Ben Franklin Road) and Route 286 (Oakland Avenue). Milling will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2008, with paving beginning Tuesday.
• Route 422 - 0.6 miles in Shelocta Borough and Armstrong Township. Crews will begin milling on Wednesday, August 6 and paving on Monday, August 11. Work at this site will be performed at night from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Flag crews will direct traffic while work is being performed. Motorists should anticipate minor delays and be prepared to stop. Motorists are asked to slow down and exercise caution when traveling through work zones.
Prime contractor for the $2.3 million project, which also included paving of five miles of Route 286 near Clymer Borough, is Quaker Sales Corp. of Johnstown.
