Closure Planned for SR 1027 East Unity Road for Bridge Replacement
Closure Planned for State Route 1027 East Unity Road Bridge Replacement Project in Butler County Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that a bridge closure will begin on State Route (SR) 1027 East Unity Road on June 11 for a bridge replacement project. The bridge carries East Unity Road over an unnamed tributary to Scrubgrass Creek in Cherry Valley Borough, Butler County. The closure will begin Monday, June 11, and will remain in place until late-August. A detour will be posted. The existing concrete and stone bridge constructed in 1940 will be replaced with a new precast concrete box culvert. The work is being completed by PennDOT’s Butler County Maintenance forces.
