PennDOT Updates SR 536 Bridge Replacement Project

PennDOT Updates State Route 536 Bridge Replacement Project in Clarion County

Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists of updates on the State Route (SR) 536 (Mayport Road) bridge replacement project.

Updates Include:
• Beginning, Tuesday, June 19 through Wednesday, July 3, 24-hour flagging will be in place on SR 536 (Mayport Road) from SR 28 to North Freedom for reconstruction of bridge approaches and traffic switching to the new structure.
• An 11 foot width restriction will be in place on SR 536 from SR 28 to North Freedom during the same period.
• Beginning, Tuesday, June 26 through Wednesday, July 25, SR 1017 (Salem Road) will be closed from King Road to SR 536 for roadway construction and demolition of the old structure.
• Prior to the completion of the SR 1017 work, SR 536 will be opened to unrestricted traffic.

The detour from the bridge in Mayport for the SR 1017 (Salem Road) closure uses SR 536 (North Freedom Road) to SR 1019 (Salem Road) to SR 1017 (Salem Road).

The project involved the replacement of the bridge carrying SR 536 over Redbank Creek in Redbank Township, Clarion County.

This $2,962,104 bridge replacement project is being completed by Francis J. Palo, Inc., of Clarion. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September.
