State Route 1028 Closing for Roadway Work in Armstrong County
Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that State Route (SR) 1028 (Echo Road) will close for approximately two weeks as part of the Oscar Bridge Replacement project in Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
Beginning, Monday, August 20, SR 1028 will close at the intersection with SR 1035 (Oscar Road) for roadway repairs. The closure is located at the north end of the bridge on SR 1035 (Oscar Road) carrying a single lane of traffic over the Mahoning Creek.
A posted detour will be in place using SR 1037 (Echo to Snyderville) and SR 1018 (Main Street).
This $643,194 superstructure bridge replacement project is being completed by Francis J. Palo, Inc., of Clarion. The bridge is expected to open to traffic the first week of September.
