Work Begins on State Route 38 Bridge in Concord Township, Butler County
Indiana – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that a detour will be in place to replace bridge carrying State Route (SR) 38 over the Little Connoquenessing in Concord Township.
Beginning, Tuesday, April 10, the bridge in Concord Township carrying SR 38 over the Little Connoquenessing Creek will be replaced and a detour will be in place. Valley Road will close on Tuesday at SR 38,and a detour using Valley Road to Melody Road to Stephanie Road to Clark Road to SR 38 will be in place.

As part of this project, a superstructure replacement will occur on the structurally deficient bridge carrying SR 38 over Pine Run in Oakland Township. Traffic restrictions will be in place over the bridge beginning with flagging operations until a temporary signal has been installed. Once the signal and temporary barrier are installed, the restrictions will remain in place until the end of the project.
Motorists are reminded to drive responsibly in work zones. Remember to be alert to changing conditions, minimize distractions, and slow down in work zones.

This $2,197,635 bridge superstructure replacement for the SW of Boydstown Bridge and the total replacement of the bridge over the Little Connoquenessing is being completed by Clearwater Construction, Inc. The project is expected to be completed in October. |
