Broughton/Baptist Intersection Improvements Begin March 26 in Bethel Park

    The project will create significant mobility improvements for the traveling public at the busy intersection.

    Work includes reconstructing and widening the intersection to add turning lanes, improved drainage, retaining walls,
    new traffic signals, curbing and bituminous resurfacing

  Detours and lane closures are needed during the initial phases of work for extensive excavation activities.
 To allow the necessary work to occur, the following restrictions will be implemented at approximately 7 a.m. on March 26 through late November.

- Eastbound Broughton Road closed between Paxton Drive to Sansue Drive
    Posted Detour: Route 88 (Library Road) north to Route 51 east to Brownsville Road south back to Broughton/Curry Hollow Road
-- Westbound Broughton Road will remain open between Paxton Drive to Sansue Drive

-- Baptist Road closed in both directions between Broughton Road and Higbee Drive
    Posted Detour: Route 88 (Library Road) north to Route 51 east to Brownsville Road to Baptist Road
-- Northbound Baptist Road closed between Broughton Road and Horning Road (southbound will remain open to Broughton Road)
    Posted Detour: Route 88 (Library Road) south to Route 51 east to Brownsville Road north to Baptist Road
-- Baptist Road open in a single lane from Horning Road to Broughton Road
