National Work Zone Awareness Week April 6-10

April 28 — Route 27, Venango County

It was a hot day for all us traffic cones and the workers along Route 27 in Venango County. This is just one example of all the weather conditions that highway workers endure to improve our roads and bridges.

 

As part of this betterment project, crews are reshaping the bank and using the rocks to help prevent soil erosion. This project also includes drainage improvements and roadway resurfacing.

 

Today also marks the last day of my journey around the state. Now I’ll find a semi-permanent home on one of our long-term projects.

 

Even though I won’t be giving you these updates, if you remember one thing from my journey, I hope it is to “cone-trol” your driving in work zones!
