424.1 DESCRIPTION —

This work is construction of a wearing course of plant-mixed bituminous concrete on a prepared surface.

424.2 MATERIAL —

Section 420.2 except as follows:

(d) Composition of Mixtures:

1. Standard Bituminous Mixtures.

Section 420.2(d)1, revised as follows: Section 401.2(d)2. Revise first sentence in ninth paragraph to read:

Provide minimum percent VMA (Voids in Mineral Aggregate) of 13.

2. Heavy Duty Bituminus Mixtures.

Section 420.2(d)2 revised as follows:

Section 401.2(d)2. Revise the fourth bullet in the ninth paragraph to read:

Provide minimum percent VMA (Voids in Mineral Aggregate) of 14 for the job-mix formula and 13.0 during production. VMA will be considered acceptable if 90 percent of the determinations per project meet the stated minimums.
